Constipation is caused by many factors. It may be cause by diet, change in routine like travel, medications that you are taking, lack of exercise, diseases or it may also be cause by age, pregnancy and aging and as simple as ignoring the urge to pass waste.

The primary cause of why I sometimes get constipated is my diet and the lack of physical activity. I love eating process foods. Maybe because process foods are easier to prepare and does not require too much planning that is it is almost always in my menu list. And exercise! Sometimes exercise takes a back seat to everything else.


Well meaning people reminds me that changing my diet to one rich in fiber and exercising can do wonders not just on constipation but on the overall health of my being as well. So the next time you see me munching on processed foods and parking myself in front of the TV, just holler that these things are B-A-D.
